The Bahai religion was founded in Iran in 1863. The temples of this religion not only welcome visitors from all over the world but they also want to be places of worships for any other religions. Read more on the Bahai Faith at Wikipedia.

There are 6 Bahai temples in the world and each one of them has a distinctive architecture. The Bahai temple in New Delhi has the shape of Lotus flower.

The architect, Fariborz Sahba, is Canadian of Iranian origin. It took 10 years, 800 engineers, technicians, craftsmen and workmen to carry out one of the most complex monuments in the world. Since its inauguration in 1986, the Bahai temple received more than 50 million visitors. It is one of the most visited temples in the world.
